Name the famous actors, given some notable facts about their careers and their countries of origin:

  1. This Chinese actor was the national all-around martial arts champion from 1975-1979, beginning when he was only 12 years old. He even performed for U.S. President Richard Nixon, who asked if he would like to be his personal bodyguard! He would later go on to star in films like the Shaolin Temple series (sparking the rebirth of the actual Shaolin Temple), the Once Upon a Time in China series, and the Expendables trilogy.
  2. This Thai martial artist, actor, and action choreographer practiced his Muay Thai kickboxing techniques in his father’s rice paddy!
  3. This Beninese actor has portrayed characters in both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the DC Extended Universe. He has also appeared music videos for Paula Abdul, Janet Jackson, and Madonna. He’s probably best known for starring in Spielberg’s Amistad (1997).
  4. This Swedish actor played chess with death in Ingmar Bergman’s The Seventh Seal (1957).
  5. This Italian actor and comedian was the first to win Best Actor at the Academy Awards for a non-English speaking male performance.
  6. This Egyptian actor worked with director David Lean on both Lawrence of Arabia (1962) and Doctor Zhivago (1965).
  7. This Austrian actor won two Academy Awards for Best Actor, each one directed by Quentin Tarantino.
  8. This Colombian actor rose to fame with a co-starring role in Super Mario Bros. (1993) as Luigi. He also voiced Sid the Sloth in the animated Ice Age film series.
  9. This South African-born English Shakespearean stage actor and accomplished swordsman is honored with three stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He is probably best remembered for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes in 12 films released between 1941-1947.
  10. This Russian-born actor portrayed Rameses II in The Ten Commandments (1956), one of The Magnificent Seven (1960), and an android known as “The Gunslinger” in Westworld  (1973).
