Como Park, Part 3: Como Lake

Located with Saint Paul’s Como Regional Park, Como Lake (not to be confused with Lake Como in northern Italy) features:

  • A paved path around the lake (1.67 miles) – for walking, jogging, and biking
  • A fishing pier – located on the south end of the lake, one can fish here for bluegills, bullheads, common carp, crappies, channel catfish, northern pike, perch, pumpkinseed, rock bass, sunfish, and walleye
  • Equipment rentals – including canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, peddle boats, and surrey bikes

The Lakeside Pavilion (above) features the Como Dockside Restaurant & Bar, a New Orleans-themed restaurant which hosts live music throughout the summer months in an outdoor band shell.

  • Visited: many times during the 1980s & 1990s
